Back to the drawing board in 2023

I was smacked in the face...right at the end of the year.

I've come a looooong way since January of 2022.

I was SO desperate to quit my corporate job and finally, FINALLY focus on my podcast and starting a business.

So I actually DID IT! By the grace of whatever is holy, prayed to God, Mecca, the universe, a bunch of crystals, whatever had some cosmic wisdom - please help me figure this out.

And boy, have I had some adventures. So much self-discovery and new experiences. I've excavated levels I didn't even know were there. Don't believe me? Pick any solocast on Culture Changers this year and have at it.

But yet, there seems to be a big ol' boulder to tackle.

The stakes are SO HIGH.

I have a family to provide for, resources are running dangerously low (I only had a limited time to not work), I so desperately wanted to change the name and brand of the podcast so I could have a clear direction to move forward in.

But damn. Coming up blank. And frustrated. Again and again.

I've collaborated with pros, creative people, word nerds, everybody to help me.

I HAVE TO GET THIS RIGHT! If this was allowed, I'd be shaking you down with all my might as I say this!

But I was guided to someone VERY unconventional this past week. We only have a 20 minute call.

Not only did she tell me the new name of my podcast and brand in 2 minutes flat, she told me that my corporate programming was blocking my creative magic. 💫

She was right! Ugh! As I reflected back, I've been SOOOOOO sure people would automatically tune out (or click away) if I didn't catch people in the first 3 seconds with something brilliant, that I've been stifling my own voice.

That self-judgment, self-criticism, and doubt can be really insidious mofos.🖕🖕🖕

So I went to a Korean spa (NOT a happy ending place, sheesh! Get your mind out of the gutter!), sat in a mineral room, and just wrote and wrote and wrote.

You see, what I learned but quickly FORGOT this year, is that there really is no such thing as writers block. And if you write enough bad stuff, some good will always come out.

INVITATION: Where are you holding back that you are afraid it will suck if you do it? Let this be the nudge to just try it and see.

Sometimes you just need to hush those pesky negative voices and see what's waiting for you on the other side.

If you REALLY want accountability in this and try some new things, join my January NEW New Year Challenge where every day, you will be prompted to do something NEW. Don't worry, I already have the ideas - all consumable, all unique (NOT the tired old January lists). One for each day of the month.

They are designed to stimulate your brain to rewire and open for new possibilities.

Want in? I would love to do this right along with you. Join me here. It's FREE!

And for today's episode, I am replaying the #1 downloaded episode of the entire year. The one called, I Quit!

Thanks for being part of such a pivotal year for me. I can't wait to be there for YOU for a breakthrough year next year.

P.S. I'm doing market research on a new wellness concept. Can you take 1 minute to fill this out (and get more info for when I launch it)?

P.P.S. If this email struck a chord with you or you know someone who could relate, will you share it with them?

P.P.P.S. I know I'm on the late flight to Paris, but DAMN, I am so deliciously HOOKED!

P.P.P.P.S. A worthy mantra.
